- Chartered Accountancy: With four decades in the accountancy profession, Jat has demonstrated expertise in governance and financial oversight. He was the first non-white individual elected to the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, serving a 16-year tenure and contributing to various national regulatory committees. He also served as a DTI Inspector in London.
- Business & Entrepreneurship: As a successful entrepreneur, Jat has built ventures across industries such as healthcare, technology, events, and food services. Notably, his nursing home was shortlisted for the National Care Awards Independent Care Operator of the Year.
